Brody's Birthday

I remember 3 months ago I started planning Brody's party. It started off simple and then dreams started. Circus tent, cotton candy machine, popcorn machine, costumes and lots of guests! Within that first week or maybe two my dreams came to a complete halt! Yep my family brought me back down to ground. Have you ever tried planning a studio opening and first birthday within a week of each other?! Yikes what was I thinking?! So I did a major scale back and decided there were certain things that were most important for his party. Number 1 was cake and you know I LOVE cake. Then came the other little details to bring it together. Tissue flowers to hang, vintage toys, and PICTURES. Had to have pictures of my little guy everywhere.

Thank you to all of our family who came and ate cake. We have tons left but I am NOT sharing.

Happy Birthday Brody!

This past year has been a whirlwind. I keep looking back through my archives thinking "really he is ONE, no this can't be?!" It seems like just yesterday I was checking into the hospital for my quick delivery, bringing him home, waking up in the middle of the  night, watching him roll over, his first smile, andall of those other amazing firsts. My little baby  no longer resembles a baby but he will forever be my little one. my youngest, my love. I was very curious what his personality would develop into as he has grown. He is such a relaxed curious little guy.  He giggles when his brother and sister walk into the room and chuckles when daddy gets him in the neck. He now walks with that mummy stumble which always  gets a laugh out of everyone.  One day I will pull out all of his pictures from his first year and show them to him. He will probably think I am crazy for the thousands of pictures I have of him or appreciate that I captured him in a different way everyday. I am one very lucky mommy to have a healthy beautiful child!

My baby boy just turned 6 months! I swear I was just swaddling him. In another 6 months he will be one and I am trying so hard to take it all in. Here are a few of his milestones.

I am really enjoying this summer with my packed senior sessions schedule. I finally photographed my first 2010 senior male. If you ever visit the senior site you will notice I feature more females than males. So I was happy to meet E and have the opportunity to expand on the male senior portraits.

Then the following day was C and we spent our session traveling to several locations. One that included a few shots with this very cool orange car.

Looking forward to more of these senior sessions every week!

My little Brody is 5 weeks old!

2 weeks later

I really have been enjoying my little Brody! We went for his checkup today and has gained 1 lb in 2 weeks. I can't believe how fast the last few weeks have gone and how chunky he is getting. Here are a few pictures....

I just can't help posting more pictures of Brody. I am working on several sets for his room. He is an absolute angel!

After 2 hours and 10 minutes of labor our sweet little baby boy arrives. It was the quickest labor I have ever been through. I dialated from 5cm-10cm in 30 minutes. The down side is that the epidural had not kicked in all the way and there was some pain. All worth it...enjoy our first shot of Brody.

Hayden Falls

The Hayden Falls sessions were such a blast this weekend! I am sharing one for now and hopefully will get to share the others after I return from the hospital. Can you believe it?! Tomorrow BRODY will FINALLY be HERE!!!!!!!!

So the past few weeks I have been busy signing wedding contracts, putting finishing touches on the bedrooms, and putting together a new website. Seniors will officially be seperated from the portrait website! I hope to have it launched by late next week.
