Spring Mini Sessions Announced!

My spring schedule is already becoming limited. This year I am opening 2 special dates up for spring mini sessions. Take advantage of this special now to receive your spring mini session for only $50 and 30% off collections. The session will include a 20 minute session and private gallery for ordering. The dates are Sunday April 14th and Sunday May 5th. Please email melissa@melissajonesphotography.com to schedule. ($50 retainer is due to schedule) Dates are limited to 4 sessions on each date and sessions must be held in Franklin County.

February Updates

We are only a few months away from spring! Anyone else excited? I know I am. Warmer temperatures allow for more outdoor sessions, wedding season and of course Fresh Face contest!

 If you did not get word back in the fall I am hoping you know now that I am continuing family and children portraits. My family had a big life change this past year and it has allowed me to continue what I love. So I am feeling completely blessed about this! Dates have yet to be set for Fresh Face but I know for sure it will be held in April. So please be on the look out in March for specific dates. As you know these sessions book FAST!

One Year in the Making

Last Christmas my best friends boyfriend (Zach) came to me with the idea of proposing to her during a photo session with me. Of course I was thrilled to be a part of something so exciting. We had it all planned out.....well at least I thought. Zach mentioned to Cassy about pictures but she just really was not wanting to do a session. We pushed it for awhile bringing it up occasionally . However she kept declining. Once Cassy announced she was expecting TWINS she immediately knew she wanted to do a maternity session. Score! All we had to do is wait for snow and lucky us the weather arrived with a beautiful white coat of snow. So we scheduled it and then ran into another snag. The ring was not in yet and had to be shipped from New York.
Zach contacted me and asked if we could push it back. Of course we can! So Saturday arrives and Zach says he is making a trip to Lowe's (well that's what Cassy thought). Two hours later he arrives home and as you can imagine Cassy was a little upset (hahahaha typical girl). We travel over to her grandparents beautiful farm property and start our session.
